Consultative Status

As an international, non-governmental organization active in the struggle against racism and racial discrimination, EAFORD has Consultative Status with the United Nations since 1981.

(Category I) and later designation (Special) by the U.N. Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and by the U.N. Educational, Social and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Thus, in keeping with its Consultative Status with the United Nations, EAFORD accepts as its responsibility to support the United Nations and the international cooperation of its Member States.
